Curdridge

History

Curdridge village sits in the enviable position approximately 1.5 miles from both the Botley and Bishops Waltham Villages and enjoys a real rural feel without ever being very far from local amenities.

The village’s make up over the years has barely changed with Curdridge Primary School still being at the centre of interest for local residence, its recently acquired building extension has really added to the already excellent reputation. Prior to this children can be taken to the local Caterpillars pre school which has always provided fun and a sense of camaraderie amongst the parents.

Description

For those more mature residence there is the The Cricketers local public house, the British legion snooker rooms and the Reading Rooms which sit on the useful and well used recreation ground.

Properties come in all shapes and sizes and range from the small turn of the century cottage to some much larger executive and barn style buildings. Plantation Drive and Chapel lane are two examples were a mixture of these can be found.

To summarise, ‘peaceful’ and ‘welcoming’ would be two appropriate words to describe this popular hamlet .
