Corhampton & Meonstoke

History

Originally two parishes Corhampton and Meonstoke were brought together into one civil parish in1932. The main manor of Corhampton was held by the de Clare family in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Meonstoke belonged to Edward the Confessor ere the Norman Conquest and was listed in the doomsday book as part of the ancient demesne of the crown. The Church at Corhampton is one of the best preserved Saxon Churches in the county.

Description

Corhampton is nicely situated between Bishops Waltham Village centre (2 miles) and Droxford and benefits from the beautiful Corhampton golf course. Most housing can be found in Meonstoke approx 2 miles further on where as you cross over the beautiful Mill and past the Bucks Head PH you drive further up the high street, where the majority of diverse country property is situated and towards the popular Meonstoke Church of England Primary School.
